2016 Taroko Music Festival celebrates the 30th anniversary of Taroko National Park
The “Taroko Music Festival”, an annual musical event of Taroko, is coming up on October 29 on the Taroko Tableland. Since its first appearance in 2002, the event has accumulated much word of mouth and it attracts Taiwan and even worldwide visitors every year to explore the beauty of Taroko on the great green meadow.
As this year is also the 30th anniversary of Taroko National Park, to showcase the park’s achievements in safeguarding this place over the past 30 years, the organizer has set “Original Sound of Gorge and Safeguarding Mountains (30)” as the theme of the 2016 Taroko Music Festival. Cellist and composer Tsung-pei Fan, musical genius Suming Rupi, Amis Kakeng Musical Group with the natural celestial voice, and local performing groups including Sioulin Junior High School Choir, Taiping Elementary School Choir, and Ketusan Music Studio will present music to audiences based on indigenous culture and nature. With the diversity of performances, the organizer hopes to start a new sparkle of cooperation to enrich the content and magnificence of the Taroko Music Festival.
