2019 Kinmen Tunnel Music Festival - The Clash and Combination of Eastern and Western Art

Kinmen National Park Headquarters will host 7 events from October 19 to 20 for the Kinmen Tunnel Music Festival. This year, "heavenly voices" and "sounds from the East and West" are the two specially selected main themes for the concerts. Those invited to perform include nationally-respected Taiwanese opera singer, Tang Mei-yun; Taiwan’s well-known mezzo-soprano singer, Weng Jo-pei; new-generation creative sheng player - Li Li-chin. There will also be performances by Overtone Chamber Quartet, led by Overtone’s artistic director - cellist Chang Cheng-chieh.

The musical feast that goes on for two days will give people a softer, alternative way to appreciate Kinmen's military history with more emotions. And in turn, it will make the public value and share our cultural heritage.
