SPNPH celebrates its 25th anniversary with comprehensive activities

2017 is the 25th anniversary of Shei-Pa National Park Headquarters (SPNPH). On July 1 (Sat), SPNPH will expand the scale of environmental education by arranging 25 stalls at Wenshui Visitor Center for the public to experience related activities.

On the event day, the Saisiyat Culture and Art Association of Wufeng Township, Hsinchu, will present the Saisiyat folk dance to start the event. Then, SPNPH will premiere The Legend of KoKo' Ta'ay: Man, Spirits, Nature. In the afternoon, the 2016 Conservation Achievements Presentation will be held. There will be a wide variety of activities on environmental education on that day guided by the professional and enthusiastic volunteers of SPNPH. These activities will include the Kamishibai (paper play) storytelling, puppetry theater, mountaineering gear show, tree climbing, orienteering, the house of “bat”—understanding bats, and weaving DIY. Some activities will be presented with different levels of difficulty for visitors to collect points and redeem souvenirs. These activities are comprehensive and suitable for family participation.
