Religious Activities and National Park Pandemic Management Measures to be Relaxed from October 5

The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) has announced the relaxation of certain pandemic prevention measures starting from October 5. For National Parks, the Ministry of the Interior said that for multi-day hiking routes between designated campgrounds and single-day round-trip hiking routes, the total volume of visitors will be restored to the original capacity with crowd management in place. In addition, considering the features of mountain cabins, such as enclosed bunk bed areas and the inability to set up bed partitions, the accommodation volume will be adjusted from 1/3 to 1/2 of the original capacity.

The related pandemic prevention and control measures will be based on the latest pandemic prevention guidelines from the CECC. Preventive measures such as maintaining social distance and wearing masks are encouraged. If visitors are in an outdoor area with good ventilation and no crowds, face masks can be temporarily removed as long as social distance can be kept. Furthermore, reviews will be conducted on a rolling basis according to the environmental features of each National Park.
