A Date with the National Park - "Language of the Southern Cross Starlight" Stargazing Event

Night sky experiences featuring intellectual and emotional elements are offered to bring Taiwanese people closer to the clear sky at Kenting National Park, and to let them learn about the starry sky of Spring and Summer as well as the southern cross in the southern hemisphere. The experiences also urge people to place value on national parks, where the minimal light and air pollution allow for stargazing. Kenting National Park Headquarters will hold a "Language of the Southern Cross Starlight" stargazing event from 7:30PM to 9:00PM on the nights of May 4 and May 25.

The event will take place at Maobitou Park (if the weather turns out cloudy or rainy, event location will change to the visitor center of Kenting National Park Headquarters, where a lecture with projector slideshows will take place). There is no need to sign up if you wish to participate. You only need to bring your own sitting cushions and warm clothing, and show up at the event when it takes place. Inquiries by Telephone: (08) 8861321 ext. 250-259.
