The "Ecology of Stream Fishes in Yangmingshan" Exhibition Starts on May 2, 2020

The "Ecology of Wetland Fishes in Taiwan" Special Exhibition jointly organized by the National Museum of Marine Science & Technology and Yangmingshan National Park Headquarters was relocated to the Yangmingshan National Park Headquarters Visitor Center on May 2, 2020. The exhibition has been renewed as the "Ecology of Stream Fishes in Yangmingshan" Special Exhibition. In addition to the graphic displays, the living display area presents and introduces the endemic species of Taiwan that are commonly seen in the streams in Yangmingshan National Park. These species include: Taiwan horse mouth (candidia barbata), opsariichthys pachycephalus, acrossocheilus paradoxus, and rhinogobius candidianus. There is also the rhinogobius formosanus, a new species that is being applied for publication as a new species in international journals. Visitors can closely observe this small fish with exquisite beautiful patterns.

This exhibition includes information on the stream environment and fish ecology of Yangmingshan, a photography exhibition of fish ecology and environment, a specimen exhibition of Yangmingshan's important and rare fishes, and Yangmingshan’s stream fish ecology. In addition, there is the fish bone puzzle game which lets adults and children learn through play. The exhibition starts on May 2, 2020 and ends on July 31, 2020.
