2019 Taroko Music Festival: Nearly 7,000 People Enjoyed Music and Nature at the Taroko Tableland

The 2019 Taroko Gorge Music Festival opened at the Taroko Tableland on October 26. The festival program lineup included classical orchestral music, modern jazz, and traditional Taiwan indigenous music and dance. The Taroko National Park Headquarters especially invited the Taipei Philharmonic Orchestra, three-times Golden Melody Awards recipient singer Johnny Yin, as well as the local Ayug Duet, Ayug Music and Dance Ensemble, Hualien Symphony Orchestra Chief Chamber Orchestra, Huasi Wedding Band, and the dance ensemble of the National Dong Hwa University College of Indigenous Studies to perform at the event.

The program was divided into two sessions: the morning session ran from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm, while the afternoon session ran from 14:00 pm to 16:30 pm. Nearly 7,000 people attended the two sessions and enjoyed a full day of music and dance performances at the Taroko Tableland. The Deputy Minister of the Interior Chiu Chang-yueh and the Chief Secretary of the Construction and Planning Agency Wang Dong-yong also attended the event.
