2021 National Park Youth Camp: Taijiang Seafolk Camp

Located along the southwest coast of Taiwan, the Taijiang National Park has an abundance of wetland and marine ecosystems, and is home to the pioneering history and culture of Taiwan, as well as the traditional fishery and salt industries, making it an ideal location for outdoor exploration and learning. Keeping in line with the theme of wetlands and the sea, “Taijiang Seafolk Camp” is the most awaited summer camp program of the Taijiang National Park Headquarters. It will be entering its ninth year this year, and registration will be starting soon. Students nationwide who will be entering grades 5 to 7 after the summer break are welcome to join us and become a Taijiang Seafolk to explore the stories of this land together, creating a summer vacation you will never forget!

The camp will be running from July 20 to 23, 2021, and will include: exploring the historical and cultural heritage of Anping, ecological observation and beach cleaning activities in the intertidal zone, and a one-day oyster farming experience, among many others. Students will learn more about the local ecosystem, culture, history, and industries; they will develop interpersonal communication skills, enhance their ecological conservation knowledge and skills, and take practical actions to protect the environment.

The cost of the camp is NT$2,300 per person. There are 36 spaces available. Online registration will being on 5/17 until registration is full.
