“2017 Taijiang Night Tour” Embarks on a Journey of Learning Together

Taijiang National Park Management Office has jointly held the “2017 Taijiang Night Tour” event with Tainan Community College-Taijiang Branch and Lvermen Temple on October 21, 2017. The event has attracted approximately 200 people from all over Taiwan to participate.

The event kicked-off in the afternoon at the Taijiang National Park Management Office. The participants first visited the relic of the inner sea at the Sicao Lake, Chianan Irrigation, and Yanshui River junction point on rafts; embarked on the mysterious and charming Boxemboy beach stroll northwards, followed the tidal melody of Taijiang to reach the Lvermen estuary, continued eastward along the Lvermen river to reach the Zhengmeng Gong Temple containing a shrine of Zheng Cheng-Gong (better known in the West by his Hokkien honorific Koxinga), and finally reached the Matsu Goddess Temple that protects the fishermen. The participants then traveled back to the Taijiang National Park Management Office to receive the certificate of completion.

The 13 km trip from dusk until nightfall is a journey to get close to nature and a path to learn from the environment.
