Typhoon Megi caused serious landslide at 163.7K turning section. A section of the Lianhua Pond Trail (service road for Meiyuanzhu Village), approximately 80 meters at the entrance, was hollowed out. The raging rain of Typhoon Megi aggravated the situation, two areas of landslide occurred earlier at around 20 to 30 meters after the Qingxi Bridge were expanded into a large cliff. The trial is now completely impassable and closed for safety. However, the Central Cross-Island Expressway is still open. Experts issued warnings after assessment. The area remains unstable and further landslide is imminent. For your safety, please do not come close to or stay near the landslide area.
