First-ever Taroko Indigenous Concerts and Traditional Culture Experience events to begin April 14

The 2018 Indigenous Concerts and the Traditional Culture Experience Event will be held at Taroko plateau, with six shows starting in April. Event dates are 4/14, 5/12, 6/9, 9/8, 11/10 and 12/8. The Indigenous Concerts will be held each event day from 15: 00 to 15: 40, and will feature themes such as traditional lifestyles, valley singing, and folk music. Besides singing and dancing, the concerts will also incorporate traditional Taroko mouth harp, wooden xylophone, and flute performances.

In addition to the Concerts, from 13: 00 to 15: 00 on event dates, there will also be DIY activities visitors can take part in to experience traditional indigenous culture. These activities will include both cultural overview courses and practical experience courses. Each culture experience event can accommodate 30 people. The cultural overview courses will be free of charge, while the practical experience courses will require a fee. Fees will be set and collected on the day of the event.
