Special Exhibition of Taijiang National Park Eco-Friendly Habitat Creation Opens at Qigu Visitor Center of Southwest Coast National Scenic Area

The Qigu Visitor Center at the Southwest Coast National Scenic Area Headquarters is currently a popular photography hotspot in the Tainan area. In recent years, the Taijiang National Park Headquarters of the National Park Service has cooperated with aquaculture fishermen to promote the concept of “Eco-Friendly Habitat Creation” for conservation purposes and creation of value-added industries. They are providing guidance to fishermen in using the “Black-faced Spoonbill” brand, which has garnered significant attention.

Therefore, the Southwest Coast National Scenic Area Headquarters believes that it will help the development of local industries and tourism, and has taken the initiative to cooperate with the Taijiang National Park Headquarters to organize an exhibition at the Qigu Visitor Center to promote the concept of eco-friendly habitat creation and conservation. It is hoped that “Eco-Friendly Habitat Creation” will help to market and add value to the locally farmed products in Qigu, enabling the power of consumerism to support ecological conservation. In turn, it will allow transborder migratory species like the black-faced spoonbill to rest and forage peacefully in the Southwest Coast/Greater Taijiang area!
